Plainview Business Incubator
The Plainview Business Incubator provides new businesses with affordable leases and support services to help them get through start-up, and expanding local businesses with customized services to help them add more jobs and services.
Who can become a Business Incubator client?
Space in the Business Incubator and services from the Plainview EDA are available to start-up or expanding businesses. Preference will be given to businesses that complement the community’s existing businesses or that offer new products and services.
What do Incubator Clients Receive?
Business Incubator clients receive affordable leased space and a range of support services that include business plan development and implementation, one-on-one consulting and referrals, mentoring, marketing services, and assistance with financing.
Incubator clients requirements
Incubator clients must stay in the Incubator a minimum of one year after the initial probationary year. Generally, clients are expected to stay in the incubator for five years. Clients must also agree to relocate within Plainview city limits after leaving the incubator.
The Business Incubator was started using Rural Business Enterprise Grant (RBEG) funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture awarded to the Plainview EDA in 2011.
